In 1986 Greg Lane went to work for his father Peter Lane one of the most respected art dealers in the country. Peter was Greg's mentor giving him the foundation he needed to become a successful art dealer in today's artworld.

Peter Lane passed away in 1995 which was a tremendous loss to the art industry. Dealers from all over the country wrote letters to share their experiences and feelings. They were warm and heartfelt and really hit home. Greg knew at that time that he had one agenda and that was to carry on his father's legacy.
