A painting prodigy turned seasoned professional, Sam Park's work can be found amongst private collections and in galleries all across the globe. Sung Sam Park was born in Seoul, Korea in 1949. After picking up the brush for the first time at the young age of 12, Park's natural talents were quickly acknowledged. So much so, in fact, that less than a year later (as a 13 year old), Park was asked to instruct a painting class at his local high school! Thus began a lifetime of artistic honors and awards for the young artist.

Park remained in Korea until 1973 when he moved to France and began his formal training. His work has been compared to early French Impressionists, which is no doubt a result of his residency in Paris. In 1984, Sam competed in an Olympic Games sponsored competition. His painting won a Gold Medal and was later proudly acquired by the Hyundai Corporation (where it still hangs today at their corporate headquarters).

Worldwide notoriety notwithstanding, Sung Sam Park is an exceptional artist. His flawless interpretations of classic landscapes not only reflect the realities of the settings, but also the emotions they evoke.
